Once the epoxy putty hardens, I'll sand it smooth and hopefully the end product is a sidewalk section with a curb edging out some sort of planter in an Imperial City square...or something.
I'll probably add some spots of gravel on the pavers to give it a more "urban battle" look.
For asphalt, try gluing down a piece of sandpaper, sand side up. Experiment with the grit size you like. Paint, wash, and drybrush. -Brad
ReplyDeleteMight have to give that a whirl on the next base...I have 4 more to go so some variety will be awesome. Now if only I could find some textured scrapbooking paper with treadplate or something like that on it.
ReplyDeleteHere are some treadplate options. Comes in all different sizes and patterns. Its thin photo-etch brass, but its not difficult to work with.

You can also try Archer Transfers. This product is fine resin on a decal sheet. It may or not be a pattern you are looking for though. Archer has great products and markings that I use all the time.
